If you're a child of the 80's or 90's like me, you may have grown up thinking oil was the worst thing for your skin. We grew up seeing shelves full of anti-acne, oil-free products. Oil-free was everywhere and touted as the healthiest regimen for all skin types. Times have changed, and many are finding the joy of moisturizing with pure oils, such as Coconut, Olive, Sesame, Almond, to name a few. But have you ever considered washing your skin with clean oil? Everyone's choices in skincare will be different, but mine changed when I was talking to an older woman with a stunning complexion (noticeably lacking in fine lines) about her skincare routine. Her answer? "Oils only, I never let water touch my skin." While that seems a bit extreme (it is to this avid kayaker and snorkler anyways), it did get me to thinking that perhaps using a kind of soap-based cleanser with water everyday may contribute to premature aging, and that's when I decided to make my own cleansing oil. I've been using oil for years now to cleanse my skin, and realized I should also share this with Rawnessa lovers. Cleannessa is the newest addition to our Rawnessa product line. It is a soothing, cleansing, clean oil that attracts dirt particles, and excess oil as you massage it into your skin. It leaves your skin feeling soft and supple, and best of all, simple and clean, and ready for moisture. I'll sometimes use a piece of raw apple or cucumber to tone my skin after cleansing and before moisturizing. I love the cooling effect it has, and I feel like I'm delivering an additional layer of fresh raw nutrients to my skin. I hope you enjoy this oil as much as I do.
